When Ashley and Tyler met years ago in high school Spanish class, who knew they would eventually celebrate their marriage with a romantic wedding at Hilltop Farm in Centreville, Virginia?
Hilltop Farm has a brand-new bridal suite and it’s some of the best getting-ready space I’ve ever seen. It offers plenty of room to accommodate a full bridal party. Beautiful natural light floods in from huge windows and there are more private areas for actual changing. The great light and picture windows are also available over in the main venue area., where Ashley and Tyler held their reception after a church wedding.
Personal Touches
Sweet, personal touches were scattered throughout this wedding day. Having known Ashley for years, the priest personalized their ceremony (thus, I know they met in high school Spanish class). Tyler’s father also sang the song for the mother-groom dance during the reception. One of my favorite wedding traditions is the Pennsylvania Cookie Table. I’ve seen this pop up at other weddings where family hails from Pennsylvania. Family and friends of the couple provide cookies for the reception. The resulting table with hundreds of cookies is such a sweet (literally) way to make a new couple feel loved.
The after-dinner party included lots of dancing and a T-shirt toss featuring customized wedding day T-shirts (which I thought was a lot of fun and the guests seemed to really enjoy!). After a private last dance, the guests ushered Ashley and Tyler off to their honeymoon with an LED-light arch.
