Brianna and Oliver almost escaped from the chaos COVID wreaked on weddings. They were able to keep their original date, though they did have to change their reception venue partway through. Change can be good! Following their Catholic ceremony at Our Lady of Hope, the couple hosted a beautiful Blue Hill Farm wedding reception in Waterford, Virginia.

Their May 8 wedding turned out to be one of the most beautiful days of the year so far. A little rain fell on the drive from the church to the farm in Waterford, but by the time we arrived, the sun was out and people were ready to toast the happy couple!

Brianna and Oliver opted not to have a First Look, so we did all couples photos and bridal parties photos after the ceremony. During golden hour, we took a few minutes to get some additional photos of just the couple, and they are absolutely the best photos of the day! Scroll to see.

Couples who think through every detail make my job so easy, and in this case we started the day at an absolutely gorgeous B&B Brianna rented for getting-ready. I’ve linked to it below; The Inn at Oatlands Hamlet is a historic home bear Leesburg that is part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The generous room sizes and beautiful lighting inside made detail images and getting-ready photos a breeze, and the grounds are full of established trees and gardens..
