Liliane and Ji had only a few months to plan their Glenview Mansion wedding, but you would never have guessed! Their flowers and decor came together beautifully in this fantastic venue, which is a historic property managed by the City of Rockville.

The ceremony took place in the venue’s Conservatory. I love this location; even though it was late November and indoors, we still got wonderful natural light!! My favorite spot for photos, however, is the room in which we took Liliane’s portraits. The sunroom on the second floor helped us make magic for her portraits (scroll down to see!).

The Glenview Mansion’s grounds are so lovely, Liliane and Ji were happy to brave the cold to take their couple portraits outside. Totally worth it!

I love the moments that make a wedding unique to a particular couple. During this one, Liliane’s sons walked her down the aisle. The pastor who married the couple had actually introduced them.

How I tailored my coverage to this Glenview Mansion wedding

Good wedding coverage does take some preparation. To ensure I capture these kind of details at weddings, I have couples fill out a questionnaire as they help me build their wedding photo list. After all, weddings have many common elements, but couples place their emphasis on different things.

For each part of the day, there’s a section for the couple to write in anything unique or particularly meaningful to them. Interfaith and intercultural elements are especially important to note, since those are often totally unique. Weddings have many common elements, but couples place their emphasis on different things. By letting me know ahead of time what’s important to them, I am not making assumptions and I know what to watch for.
