When you love taking pictures (as much as I do) and dogs (as much as I do), there’s nothing better than a morning with an Old Town Alexandria engagement session + dogs!
Nikki and Chris are getting married in October and only recentky moved back to the area so we were just able to squeeze in an engagement session before their big day. Working with couples prior to their wedding is an important part of helping ensure their wedding runs smoothly. For this reason, engagement sessions are included in most of my wedding packages.
Pets are family members for most of us so I always encourage people to include them in portrait sessions. My style guide even has a section on preparing your pet for their time in front of the camera! For engagement sessions, I like to split the time: half just the couple and half with the doggos. That gives us a chance to talk about their wedding, posing, etc. without distraction but still get a chance to include everyone in some photos.
