I met Sydney and Zach a looong time ago when they were looking for engagement photographers in Washington, D.C. Their engagement session last summer remains one of my favorites and Sydney is possibly the most organized person ever, so I knew their wedding would be gorgeous. Their classic summer wedding in Cleveland this August still exceeded my expectations.
They had a Catholic ceremony at St. John Cantius Church followed by a gorgeous reception at the Ariel Pearl Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Since I’m based in Virginia, I hadn’t photographed a wedding in Cleveland before, but I am SO JEALOUS of the photographers there; they have the stunning Cleveland Museum of Art at which to take portraits. (Side note: it’s also a really great art museum, I visited while I was in town and really enjoyed my time there). In our 45 minutes there on the wedding day taking photos, we counted at least five other wedding parties taking photographs. Best of all, we had 75 degree weather on their wedding day, which is absolutely amazing to this girl who lives in a swamp (politics aside, Washington, D.C. and large swaths of Virginia are literally just a large swamp).
I also have nothing but great things to say about the Ariel Pearl Center; I’d started following its social media long ago when Sydney and Zach booked me and the venue did not disappoint. The chandeliers! The sitting room! I loved it all.
All in all, I am so glad I got to be part of Sydney and Zach’s beautiful wedding, and I love Cleveland!
