Sometimes stars align and everything comes together to make a wedding exceptionally lovely. This happened for Tess and Tim. August in Virginia can be hot and humid, and generally unpleasant outside of a pool. But these two got an almost springlike day for their Still Meadow Farm wedding on the last day of the hottest month. I start obsessively checking the weather about a week before every wedding and could not have been happier to see what Mother Nature gifted these two!

The couple’s palette choice of coral, peach, light blue and greenery lent itself so well to beautiful wildflower bouquets and arrangements.
Still Meadow Farm is, in fact, a farm complete with horses. Our equine friends were a bit shy (I mean, like 100 people had showed up at their home so I don’t blame them) and didn’t seem inclined to pose for photos. We did get one chance to grab some portraits of the just-married couple with the horses in the background. Despite offerings of carrots, the pair did not really want to make our acquaintance. Nevertheless, the photos we did get made a lovely addition to the gallery.
Of course, other than what Mother Nature controls, the elements of a wedding don’t generally just align without a lot of hard work. I would be remiss not to give full credit to the whole, super talented vendor team behind this wedding (credits complete with links below). All are exceptionally good at their jobs and ensured the day went smoothly.
