Taylor and Lucia tied the knot at a private, lakeside location during their Fredericksburg Virginia wedding. Their June wedding date just so happened to coincide with Frederick PRIDE so we stopped by the festival on our way to the ceremony. Who can resist photos in front of a giant rainbow balloon?? I love when everything comes together so serendipitously.

The couple’s getting ready, ceremony and reception occurred at private venues so I am sorry I cannot recommend them to others! The settings were beautiful, with golden hour by a local lake the absolute highlight of the day for my photographer’s heart. A flowing dress plus flower crown plus glowy light equals absolute magic!

Taylor and Lucia clearly have the best of friends. Not only were people were lending them their houses and lakeside property for wedding festivities but there was so much JOY in this day.
I had already worked with these two during their engagement session so we breezed through couple portraits, allowing plenty of time for Taylor and Lucia to enjoy their friends and family during the reception.
Telling a story is in the little details
They met in college and I particularly loved the little sign at their reception that said “We waited 4,296 days for this. Party accordingly.” I love finding the little personalized details like this that really bring home a couple’s story.
