Shony and Michael literally tied the knot during their National Museum of the Marine Corps wedding on Aug. 18, 2018, the most popular wedding date of this year.

“A cord of three strands is not easily broken,” according to Ecclesiastes 4:12. Inspired by this passage, Shony and Michael chose to tie a unity braid during their ceremony.

The importance of family shone through each detail of their ceremony. Shony’s grandmother created the bouquets, and her young daughter served as flower girl.
